Lourdes Commons — Student Housing
Program Solutions Group was selected by Lourdes University to serve as Construction Manager for the renovations of two student housing complexes in the summer of 2012, and an additional unit in 2013.
The project was to renovate an existing 9,250 SF, and two 7,636 sq. ft. apartment buildings into student housing. The scope included complete demolition and reconstruction of interior finishes of all corridors, the removal and replacement of all sliding doors and windows, installation of new door hardware on all dorm rooms, new card access systems at exterior entrances, tele/data installation throughout and installation of new fire alarm and mass notification systems.
Exterior work included re-shingling the entire main building and mansards roofs, installation of EPDM rubber roofing on flat roofs, installation of new gutters, boring conduit for fire alarm wire and communications fiber, new site lighting and repainting all exterior wood surfaces and handrails. The projects were completed in a tight timeframe to meet deadlines for Lourdes to move in students.
