The Congregation of the Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania, Ohio, has engaged Program Solutions Group, LLC, as our partner in the renovation of our buildings and for the implementation of the construction initiatives outlined in our Strategic Plan.  To say that their planning, execution of the planning process and completion of a project is extremely professional and that we are more than satisfied, would be enough to justify a strong recommendation.  However, I would like to add what makes this company different is in customer satisfaction.

Program Solutions’ work for us included renovating Sister’ residences, a retreat center, office workspaces, and long-term nursing home.  The challenges came in that the work was ongoing while the spaces being renovated were occupied.  All projects involved planning the appropriate moving schedule, addressing safety issues, and providing 100% respect of the residences while cleaning up after each task and keeping a sense of a quiet, polite presence.  The communication with Administration was regular and accurate, including construction collaborative meetings with consultants in each area of the construction phase – from planning to hanging the drapes.

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter for Keith Recknagel and the staff at Program Solutions Group (PSG).  We hired PSG for Owner Representation services during a district-wide capital improvement project consisting of a PS-5 elementary building, a grades 6-12 campus, and a football stadium renovation approved by voters in November 2016.

PSG has exceeded expectations in every aspect of service throughout the time dedicated to these projects.  Their open book, transparent approach has been instrumental in keeping our Board and community members informed during the process and their construction expertise ensured the district maximized the value of its funds committed to the projects.

When tough and challenging situations arose, Keith Recknagel was always able to provide insightful information, suggestions, and direction in order for us to make decisions within any cost limitations or options while also maintaining the district’s vision for the project.  Competing interests from involved parties arise as a part of any project and yet there was always certainty that PSG was acting in the best interest of the district through a professional and diplomatic approach.  Responses to our needs and questions were thorough and immediate.

Program Solutions Group was selected as Construction Manager for our 80,000sf Headquarters facility construction in Toledo, Ohio during the spring of 2009. The project involved extensive, selective demolition of significant interior and exterior portions of an existing building and then the complete re-construction of mechanical and electrical infrastructure as well as high-end finishes. We also required the building renovations to be completed within 11 months (including demolition) and it was mandatory that the project achieve LEED Platinum status. Demolition began on October 1, 2009 and construction commenced in January, 2010. HealthCare REIT (HCN) moved into our new Corporate Headquarters Building over Labor Day Week-end of 2010.

As a result of the superior cooperation, timeliness, cost efficiency and support from the Program Solutions team, our building was not only “on time and on budget,” but was also certified as the first LEED Platinum Headquarters project in NW Ohio by the USGBC. From the original conceptual cost estimates through the close-out of the project, Program Solutions Group performed above our expectations. All of the deliverables established at the beginning of the project were met or exceeded. The entire PSG team was diligent in addressing our needs and communication and cooperation among the entire project team was seamless throughout the project. THe transparency of their processes facilitated the active involvement of my management team at HCN in the construction process and we always felt “in the loop.” The PSG Project Manager, Jason Mason, performed his duties as if he was an employee of HCN and he garnered the respect and admiration of our entire executive staff.

A year ago we hired PSG to complete the second phase (30,000sf) o four HQ project with the same excellent results and we moved into our “north Wing” at the beginning of the year. We would certainly use PSG again on future projects and would recommend them highly to anyone seeking professional Construction Management services.

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter for Wayne Burrer and the staff at Program Solutions Group (PSG). I have used PSG extensively to manage many construciton projects in support of the global business unit needs at Dana Holding Corporation. These projects range from small office renovations to large green field projects, such as industrial facilities and office/technical centers.

The PSG process for projects is very efficient and involves the customer in all phases of programming, procurement, and execution. They have been very effective in ensuring Dana gets the maximum value for its money through value engineering and close management of all contractors. They clearly communicate regular project updates to the customer on teh critical path schedule and budget. This past weekend, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish celebrated the Dedication of our new Church and Parish Life Center.  Throughout the process, the best decision we made was hiring Program Solutions Group as our construction manager.

The team at Program Solutions is marked by characteristics not common today.  They are people of integrity.  They are honest, straight forward and hold themselves to the highest ethical standards.  They are transparent and clear.  There are no hidden costs buried within an ostensibly lower bid.  When they commit to doing something they do it.  They stay on schedule.  The are slavishly attentive to detail.  They are highly responsive.

Jason Weis, our project manager, was on the building site daily.  If I needed to reach him off hours or on weekends, he either answered his phone or returned my call within an hour.  When the inevitable problems and surprises that are part of a building project arose, Program Solutions resolved them in an efficient, practical and economical manner.

I worked directly with Keith Recknagel and Jason Weis on our project.  They consistently performed at the top of their game.  I’m a theologian/priest, not a builder.  I couldn’t build a doghouse!  I knew absolutely nothing about what I was getting myself into when we embarked on our project.  Keith and Jason walked us through the entire building process and continue to be present as we bring the total project to completion.
